VITAMINS, MINERALS, AND AMINO’S OH MY

Your body is made up of trillions of cells, and each one acts like a tiny engine that needs to right fuel and tools to run smoothly.

Vitamins, minerals, and amino acids are among the MOST important substances your cells need to grow, repair, and perform their specific functions.

Your cells are like highly complex machines.  For them to operate correctly, they need:

  1. Vitamins to run enzymes and chemical reactions
  2. Minerals to provide structure and regulate electrical activity
  3. Amino acids to build and maintain cellular components

Without the right balance of these nutrients, your cells can become weak, damaged, or unable to perform their jobs-leading to fatigue, illness, or chronic disease.

VITAMINS - THE CELLULAR HELPERS

Vitamins are organic compounds that help regulate many processes in the body.  They don’t provide energy themselves, but they help unlock energy from the food you eat and support vital cellular functions.  Each vitamin has a unique role, and a deficiency can disrupt cellular health and overall well-being.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C

Vitamin C helps produce collagen, which strengthens your skin and tissues, and also supports your immune system.

Vitamin D

Vitamin C

Vitamin D is crucial for building and maintaining healthy bones and teeth.  Calcium cannot be properly absorbed by the body when Vitamin D is not present.  Unfortunately, most people do not get necessary amounts of vitamin D.  Therefore, supplementation is needed.  Vitamin D3 is paramount for a healthy immune system, as well as bones and nerve health.

Vitamin B Complex (B1, 2, 3, 5, & 6)

Vitamin B Complex contains five B Vitamins that perform important roles in your body’s cellular function.  It includes:

B1 - Thiamine

B2 - Riboflavin

B3 - Niacin

B5 - Pantothenic Acid

B6 - Pyridoxine

Thiamine helps keep your nervous system healthy.  Riboflavin is an antioxidant that helps prevent damage to cells causing disease.  Niacin helps your digestive system, skin, and helps nerves function properly.  Pantothenic Acid helps the body make and break down he fats in the foods you eat.  It helps produce red blood cells, as well as sex & stress hormones. Pyridoxine plays an important part in brain development and function.  It helps make neurotransmitters and hormones serotonin & norepinephrine.  It helps make white blood cells a and T cells, which are important for healthy and strong immune system.

Vitamin B7 - Biotin

Vitamin B7 - Biotin

Biotin is found in foods such as eggs, milk, and bananas.  B7 plays a role in cell growth, carbohydrate metabolism, and fatty acid synthesis.  It influences cell growth and may help in maintaining blood sugar levels.  Biotin is used commonly for conditions such as hair loss, brittle nails, and nerve damage.  Biotin is thought to reduce inflammation, improve cognitive function, and increase HDL (good) cholesterol and decrease LDL (bad) cholesterol .

VITAMIN B12

Vitamin B7 - Biotin

VITAMIN B12

Methylcobalamin is the active form of Vitamin B12.  B12  helps make red blood cells and keeps your nerve cells healthy.  Certain health conditions such as intestinal or stomach problems, poor nutrition, cancer, HIV, pregnancy, old age, veganism, and alcoholism can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency.  Deficiencies in B12 have the potential to impair heart and neurological function, leading to but not limited to tinnitus, severe joint pain, memory problems, depression, anxiety, poor muscle function, ataxia, and changes in reflexes.  Mehtylcobalamin is used in those with pernicious anemia, diabetes, neuropathy, heart disease, circadian rhythm sleep disorders, Memory loss, depression, fatigue, AIDS, inflammatory bowel disease, Lyme disease, osteoporosis, tendonitis, psychiatric disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, liver & kidney disease, and asthma.  It improves concentration, maintaining fertility, anti-aging, boosting energy levels, converting fat to energy and mood elevation.

MINERALS - THE STRUCTURAL & CHEMICAL SUPPORT

Minerals are inorganic elements (like iron, calcium, and magnesium) that play structural and chemical role as in cells.  Without proper minerals, your cells can‘t perform basic tasks like generating energy, maintaining PH balance, or sending signals.

Calcium

Magnesium

Calcium

Calcium help build strong bones but also plays a crucial role in muscle contraction and nerve signaling.

Iron

Magnesium

Calcium

Iron is essential for making hemoglobin, which transports oxygen to your cells.

Magnesium

Magnesium

Magnesium

Magnesium reduces fatigue, improves immunity, improves relaxation, and more.

Zinc

Manganese

Magnesium

Zinc reduces the duration of illnesses, prevents infection, and speeds up the body’s healing process.

Manganese

Manganese

Manganese

Manganese plays a role in metabolizing carbohydrates and helps to reduce inflammation.

Copper

Manganese

Manganese

Copper supports energy production and helps to maintain healthy bone growth.

AMINO ACIDS - THE BUILDING BLOCKS OF LIFE

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins, which are vital for the structure and function of every cell in your body.  Your body uses amino acids to build muscle, repair tissue, make enzymes and hormones, and support your immune system.  Some amino acids are ”essential”, meaning you must get them from food/supplementation because your body cannot produce them.  Think of amino acids as the construction material your body uses to repair and grow itself at the cellular level.

Arginine

L-Arginine is found in foods such as red meat, poultry, fish, dairy products, eggs, and seeds of all types.  Arginine helps to dilate or open, blood vessels.  It can stimulate the release of insulin, growth hormone (helps reduce the amount of fat in  the body and increases muscle mass), and other substances.  Arginine helps with athletic performance, inflammation in the digestive tract, and immune system function.

Citrulline

Citrulline

Proline

Glutamine

Proline is made naturally within the body and consumed in foods that are protein-rich, such as meat, fish, and dairy products.  Proline is used to make collagen.  It is commonly used for skin healing, antioxidative reactions, and immune responses.  It may also help with maintaining muscle tissue after long, vigorous workouts.

Glutamine

Glutamine

Glutamine

Glutamine provides the necessary nitrogen and carbon to fuel a variety of cell processes.  Glutamine plays a key role in fueling the body’s natural healing processes and healthy organ function.  Glutamine can be found in protein-rich sources such as beef, chicken, fish, dairy, eggs, beans, beets, cabbage, spinach, carrots, parsley, vegetable juices, wheat, papaya, Brussels sprouts, celery, and kale.  Glutamine helps muscle recover faster after intense workouts.  It can help reduce recovery time for wounds and burns.  May improve symptoms of IBS, leaky gut and ulcers.  Glutamine is a precursor to glutamate which could help with brain issues such as Reye’s Syndrome, epilepsy, anxiety, depression, and addiction.

Lysine

Glutamine

Ornithine

Lysine

Ornithine

Glutamine

Ornithine

Ornithine

Taurine

Acetylcysteine

Acetylcysteine

Unlike other amino acids, Taurine doesn’t play a role in building proteins.  Taurine helps to maintain proper hydration and electrolyte and mineral balance in the cells supporting the functions of digestive, nervous and immune systems.  Taurine helps with fatigue, reducing exidative stress, mental performance, exercise performance, insomnia, psychosis, and anemia.

Acetylcysteine

Acetylcysteine

Acetylcysteine

Acetylcysteine helps to replenish Glutathione in our bodies.  Cysteine is found in high protein foods such as: chicken, turkey, yogurt, cheese, eggs, and legumes.  It helps conditions such as: flu, dry eye, kidney disease, cough, respiratory illness, infertility, addictive behavior, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
